Polybutene (PB-1) is an inert polymer polymerized from butene-1 monomer, which has high chemical stability and is known as "gold in plastics" because of its excellent physical and chemical properties. It is one of the most sophisticated chemical materials in the world.

PB-1 has excellent temperature resistance, durability, chemical stability and plasticity, odorless, odorless, non-toxic, the temperature range is -30℃ ~ 100℃, with outstanding heat creep resistance, environmental stress cracking resistance and good toughness, is the excellent material for the production of pipes.

1. Characteristics of PB pipe

（1）Good durability, non-toxic and harmless: because it is a high-density polymer, the molecular structure is stable, the service life can reach 50-100 years, and non-toxic and harmless, no chemical reaction.

（2）Uv resistance, corrosion resistance: PB tube is resistant to UV and microbial damage, and can make the water stored in it does not deteriorate for a long time.

（3）Light weight, good flexibility, PB pipe weight of galvanized steel pipe 1/20, easy to handle, soft material, minimum bending radius of 6D (D: pipe diameter)

（4）Good frost resistance and heat resistance: under the condition of -20℃, it has good low temperature impact resistance, and the pipe will not freeze and crack. After thawing, the pipe can be restored to its original form and can withstand high temperature below 100℃.

（5）Good thermal scalability, advanced connection: the thermal scalability of PB tube is about 1/60 of the metal tube, and the expansion coefficient is similar to concrete. The connection mode is integrated hot melt connection, so the movement of the pipe and the leakage of the connection can be avoided due to temperature change and water hammer phenomenon when buried.

（6）Energy saving: When PB tube is used for low-temperature ground radiation heating, it can save 30% energy.

（7）Easy to repair and reform: When the PB pipe is buried, it does not bond with the concrete.

（8）Smooth wall, no scaling: compared with galvanized pipe can increase water flow by 30%.

2. Application area 

（1）Water supply (sanitation) and hot water pipes: PB pipes are recognized as non-toxic, odorless and the most durable piping material for tap water and hot water pipes.

（2）Heating pipe: Because of its good insulation, construction and permanent durability, it is most suitable for use in connecting and underfloor heating pipe systems in buildings.

（3）Industrial pipe for air conditioning: because of its corrosion resistance (acid, alkali and salt resistance), non-toxic and tasteless, it is the best pipe for chemical engineering, food processing engineering, general hospital, industrial water and so on. Because of its high compressive strength, it is most suitable for use in air conditioning piping systems.

（4）Agricultural and horticultural pipes: Because of their corrosion resistance, softness and UV resistance, they are used for irrigation, golf course water sprays, farm underground heating and spraying pipes.

（5）Snow removal pipe: with permanent life and strong impact resistance, especially suitable for road, parking lot and playground snow removal pipe. Make good impact pipes.

（6）Hot spring pipe: heat and pressure resistance is outstanding, will not produce rust and scale, as a hot spring pipe has unparalleled effect.
